Vending operators who want Pyramid’s newest validator without rewiring will like the Pyramid Platinum PT1-LB4-USA, a 24V MDB bill acceptor built for round-the-clock duty in vending, kiosk, gaming, amusement and skill game equipment.
The PT1-LB4-USA is the MDB member of the family, made for vending machines, micro markets and kiosks running on the Multi-Drop Bus standard. Like every Platinum, it takes $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills and drops them into a lockable 500-note cash box that pulls out for collection.
What sets Platinum apart
- No DIP switches or config cards. Load firmware and settings from a USB flash drive or a PC, and they stay put when the power is off.
- Sensors calibrate themselves, so there is no manual calibration step.
- Counterfeit protection comes from UV LED validation, dual-stage optical anti-stringing and a built-in mechanical anti-stringing lever.
- Lit bezel and lit bill entry draw players to the slot.

Connection
It speaks the standard bi-directional MDB serial protocol through a standard MDB connector, so it drops onto MDB vending controllers. Pyramid installs MDB harness P/N 05AA0038 at the factory, and a longer harness is available if your cabinet needs the reach.

Decoding the part number
Platinum part numbers read PT1-[cash box type][capacity][power]-[country]. In PT1-LB4-USA, L means a locking cash box, B means 500-note capacity, the final digit (4) is the MDB 24 VDC power option, and USA means U.S. currency.
