Got an older cabinet with AC power and no DC supply for a validator? The Pyramid Platinum PT1-LB3-USA 120V bill acceptor solves that, and brings Pyramid’s latest bill handling, built for 24/7 duty, to amusement, skill game, kiosk, gaming and vending machines.
This version carries its own 120 VAC power supply, so it runs straight off line voltage in machines that have no 12 VDC to offer. Power and a relay credit output come in on the 9-pin connector, and the optional wall plug harness P/N 05AA0012 lets you power it from a standard outlet. Like every Platinum, it takes $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills and drops them into a lockable 500-note cash box that pulls out for collection.
What sets Platinum apart
- No DIP switches or config cards. Load firmware and settings from a USB flash drive or a PC, and they stay put when the power is off.
- Sensors calibrate themselves, so there is no manual calibration step.

Connection
Choose standard pulse, always-enabled pulse, Mars-style 600-baud serial, RS-232 through the 18-pin harness, or RS-232 over the rear USB Type-B port. The configuration file sets which one is active, either at the factory or later through Platinum Tools.

Decoding the part number
Platinum part numbers read PT1-[cash box type][capacity][power]-[country]. In PT1-LB3-USA, L means a locking cash box, B means 500-note capacity, the final digit (3) is the 120 VAC power option, and USA means U.S. currency.
