Description / MEI Talos T812-U10EUS Amusement Bill Acceptor
Operators replacing an older MEI validator often land on the Talos T812-U10EUS, a T8-series unit for high-denomination machines with a 1,000-note up-stacker.
Why operators choose it
Taking larger bills lets customers spend more per visit, which is why T8 units go into higher-ticket machines. It takes U.S. $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills. A 12-pulse (parallel) interface harness comes with it. Customers can insert a bill in any of four orientations. The gear-driven transport and quick-release stacker are built for frequent service, and firmware updates go in by USB or a handheld programmer.
Replaces
This Talos model takes the place of the discontinued AE2812-U10EUS. The T8 family is meant to replace AE28xx validators. Before swapping, compare bezel position, stacker direction, harness and cabinet clearance with the unit you are pulling.
