What it does
A validator checks every note a customer inserts, rejects counterfeits and tells the machine how much credit to give. This version speaks GDS, the protocol many slot-style gaming machines use to talk to their note validator, and it stacks notes upward into the box. The SC Advance family is a staple in casino-style and amusement cabinets, so parts, cash boxes and know-how are easy to find, and a unit pulled from one machine can usually be reconfigured for another. Bills can go in any of four ways, so customers rarely get a rejected note for inserting it upside down. It stacks notes upward into the cash box, the layout used in many gaming and kiosk cabinets. Firmware can be updated as currency changes.
