The MEI Gryphon G1A is a complete coin changer for vending machines: it checks the coins customers insert, stores them in its tubes and pays change back from them.
What it does
Coin changers are the heart of cash vending. A good one rejects slugs, keeps tubes topped up from customer coins and gives exact change, so every sale is smooth. The Gryphon line is known for being easy to swap in and simple to service. A small status screen shows errors and settings, which saves time on a service call. Tube levels are measured automatically, so the machine knows when it is running low on change. Tubes refill themselves from the coins customers insert. Settings and firmware can be loaded over USB. Remote diagnostics help pinpoint faults before a truck roll. Three separate payout motors drive the tubes, so change comes out quickly and one jam does not stop every coin. Crane's patented recognition checks each coin closely and turns away slugs and fakes. Auto-float keeps a set amount of change in the tubes and sends extra coins to the cash box. Full audit data is available for reconciling cash. Coin inventory management tracks what is in each tube. Coins are accepted quickly, so lines keep moving. Extra coin storage means fewer refills. Payment Master mode adds extra controls over how the changer accepts and pays coins.
