What it does
A hopper is the part that counts coins or tokens out one at a time when a machine owes the customer money. Change machines, redemption games, kiosks and parking pay stations all rely on one, and a worn hopper is a common cause of short payouts. Settings and firmware can be loaded over USB. It speaks ccTalk as well as simpler signalling, so it fits many control boards. Firmware can be updated as currency changes.
