ICT A6 Bill Acceptor – Questions & Answers
If you are using the ICT A6 bill acceptor, here are some of the most common questions and solutions to help you troubleshoot and configure your unit.
Unit is blinking red and shows "Disabled."
Change Dip Switch #7 on the side of the bill acceptor.
How do I convert to serial mode?
Add the WELM706 cable and change Dip Switch #2 (Front Switch Bank) to OFF.
To access this set of switches, you must remove the bill acceptor from the device and remove the front cover plate. This exposes the bank of 4 dip switches on the front.

My unit rejects poor quality bills. What can I do?
Change Dip Switch #6 on the side of the unit to enable higher acceptance.
I would like to accept higher denominations.
The A6 is not designed for high denominations. You will need a higher-security bill acceptor such as:
- ICT LX7
- ICT TAO-A
- ICT PA7
What if the bezel on my unit is different?
We offer several bezel kits to fit different setups:

I would like to use my bill acceptor in pulse mode.
